In Conversation With South Asian Artists

IMG_1081.JPG

Earlier this month I was interviewed by Aarti Shah for South Asian Artists. It’s a new platform that has been set up by Aarti, she’s been interviewing a few people and so she asked me.

I said yes, but then wasn’t sure if I would have anything to say. Turns out I had PLENTY to say on a range of topics that Aarti had questions about!

We covered a lot of topics ranging from Bombay Dreams, working on stage, screen & audio, as well as representation within the industry. They’re all big topics to cover, and I spoke about my experiences and gave my opinions. It’s hard to cover all those topics well in an hour, you can really only touch upon certain areas, but I gave it a go.

Aarti has created this social media platform to promote and celebrate artists of South Asian heritage. It’s something that I’m new to, and I haven’t seen before. So when I was asked to be interviewed, I thought it would be a good thing to do. When I was starting out as an actor, something like this didn’t exist, so I thought it might help other people starting out in the industry.
